Second Hand Clothes PNG

PNG has a lot of second-hand markets, more than new clothing shops. Most of these used clothes originate from Australia.

Suppliers often buy the second-hand clothes in large bales, then ship them to Dubai for sorting and grading. Once graded, they are shipped for sale to South Pacific countries such as PNG, the Solomon Islands, Fiji etc..

Prices are incredibly cheap, ranging between $2 to $5 USD, but you can often find nice clothes for even less than $1 USD too!  It is definitely possible to find almost-new, beautiful, designer clothing for bargain prices.

It would be nice to try thrift-shopping in PNG!

When you decide to thrift-shop in PNG we recommend going with a group of people who know Port Moresby.

Please don’t bring important valuable items with you, and ensure that you have your cash broken up into small denominations.  Be aware of your surroundings, cautious of anything suspicious, and always take care of your belongings!
